We are proud to announce that Tio Business School achieved excellent results in the Dutch Higher Education Guide 2025! No fewer than four bachelor programme are this year's best in the Netherlands in their field. It is the fourteenth year in a row that Tio's study programmes are in the lead.
Specialised in business and entrepreneurship
Commerce Economics and Entrepreneurship ranks first in the Commercial Economics category and has been named ‘Top programme’ in Groningen. The Higher Education Guide emphasises that the programme at Tio has a major focus on (international) entrepreneurship, and you can also opt for the English-language programme.
International Business Management comes in second in its field. The guide mentions our wide range of minors, and the connection to professional practice as a private institution.
Market leader in hospitality and tourism
The ever-popular Hotel and Event Management is at number one, and is ‘Top programme’ at Tio Groningen, Eindhoven and Hengelo. The Higher Education Guide highlights the special combination of hotel management and events, successful progression, and timely graduation at Tio as strengths.
International Tourism Management ranks first with Amsterdam, where it is also awarded the title ‘Top programme’. Last month, we joined forces with travel company Corendon and creative agency Justcurious to develop a completely new travel concept. This ‘Gran Corendon Experience’ is entirely set up and supervised by Tio's Tourism students.
Real estate and Property
Real estate and Property was named the best programme in the Netherlands within the field of Real Estate by the Higher Education Guide. This bachelor's programme is also awarded the designation ‘Top programme’ in Utrecht and Amsterdam. A result to be proud of, especially since it is the first time this programme has been included in the guide. Highlighted here is that there is no lottery at Tio, and that Tio students (re)develop an entire residential area in their second year.
