Do you want to experience life in an ultimate student city? Then Utrecht is the perfect choice for you! Our Tio campus is located just a ten-minute walk from Central Station and close to the city centre. The campus is situated along the historic canal ring.
In Utrecht, you can attend a bachelor’s and/or master's degree in the fields of business, hospitality, tourism and marketing.

Studying at Tio Business School

Experience hospitality firsthand and apply it yourself in the restaurant or reception room. In the boardroom, business students get acquainted with practical scenarios. If you prefer to work in silence or prepare for your exams, Tio City, the newest location of this campus, has set up a dedicated quiet space. With the charming and lively city center just a few minutes' walk away, you can alternate studying with visits to terraces, music venues, and restaurants. On-site, you can relax by challenging your fellow students to a game at the foosball table.

Your study coach is ready to assist you with academic questions about your studies and internships. For practical inquiries about the campus or exam hours, you can rely on the assistant campsus managers. And don't forget to regularly check the screens in the building for the latest information.

Utrecht student city

Utrecht has the highest percentage of students among all Dutch cities. And boasts the most highly educated population among the four largest Dutch cities. In the historical city centre, you'll find not only well-known tourist attractions but also an extensive selection of cafes and restaurants. Attend a festival or concert at TivoliVredenburg, the most versatile music venue in the country. It's no wonder that the international press is enthusiastic about Utrecht.

Utrecht is well-known for it's pubs. They are everywhere. And all within walking distance of each other. Consider places like De Vrienden, Gras van de Buren, and Het Pakhuis. The Oude Dikke Dries is Tio's regular haunt, just a five-minute walk from the campus – an old-fashioned brown pub where it's always cozy! But no matter how many pubs there are, somehow they always seem to be full, especially on weekends.

Student society Cognatio
The national student society Cognatio is the student society of Tio. With more than 500 members across six Tio campuses, Cognatio is a great society that offers you the opportunity to make new friends for life and expand a good network. Together with Cognatio, you can make the most of your student days.
Cognatio is a student society that does not believe in initiations. Its motto is therefore “No obligations, always a good time”. Throughout the year, Cognatio hosts a variety of activities, including drinks, parties and excursions. Cognatio’s Big Six consist of the introduction in the Ardennes, a beach party, the annual gala, the winter sports trip, the Destination Unknown pub crawl, and the end of the year party.

Parking is available at the Paardenveld parking garage. Charges apply. The parking garage is within walking distance of Tio, open 24 hours a day.

Use your netwerk
Make use of your networks on social media, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, to announce your search for a room. Talk to family, friends and acquaintances. Send all your WhatsApp and Snapchat contacts a message. You can also go the traditional route and place an ad in door-to-door publications or regional newspapers (although these options are not free). Lastly, you can visit your Tio campus, where you will find information about finding a room posted on the magnetic boards.
