Bachelor's degree in 3 or 4 years
Opt for an accelerated bachelor programme: you can earn your bachelor's degree in just three years. You can also complete the bachelor's programme in four years.

Each academic year consists of two semesters, during which you will take various Business Management modules that are relevant to future entrepreneurs. In both your first and second study year, you will do an internship – a perfect opportunity to discover what you want to pursue in the future.
Specialisation Start-up & Family Business
You will follow the continuous practical programme in Start-up & Family Business. This programme includes practical and inspiring sessions, such as various company visits, guest lectures, and exciting practical assignments focused on start-ups and family businesses, which you will work on together with fellow students.
During your minor in the final year, you further specialise in entrepreneurship, start-ups, and family businesses. Afterward, you will commence your graduation project. This project may be related to an existing start-up, your own start-up, or the family business where you aspire to work or perhaps take over in the future.
Year 1
In the first academic year, you will concentrate mainly on expanding your business-related knowledge and skills. This creates a strong foundation for the rest of your study programme and your future career.

Practical Programme (30 ECTS): Branding and Organisational behavior in Start-up & Family Business

Additionally, in the first year of study, we bring organizational behavior to life with examples from successful professionals in the field and immediate practical applications. Kick-off
Let the year begin! The first event of your study programme is the kick-off. Here, you will meet fellow students from all Tio campuses and take part in inspiring masterclasses taught by well-known professionals.Experience Days
During the Experience Days in your first academic year, you and your fellow students immediately get acquainted with the business sector in which you will later work! In this three-day project, you will go on a company visit and attend guest lectures. Ask your fellow students, lecturers and alumni whatever questions are on your mind, start building your professional network from day one and – who knows – you might get a lead on a potential internship spot too. You will stay in a hotel for two nights where everything is taken care of, allowing you to concentrate fully on networking, gaining new experiences and, of course, having an unforgettable time with your fellow students.Career Event

In year two, you will also go on a three-day trip. Working as a team, you will complete an assignment for an existing company. You will attend a guest lecture from this company, after which your team will spend 24 to 36 hours working on your solution. At the end of the project, you will deliver your pitch in front of the client, your fellow students and your parents.International study trip

The best study programme naturally includes the very best internship experience. Your internship and graudation project are the real deal! This is where you put your knowledge into practice and take your first steps toward a successful career. The best way to develop skills such as communication, research and cooperation is through practice: by doing. Which we do! Many students consider their internship to be one of the most enjoyable and instructive parts of their study programme.
Choose an internship with a major Dutch company or a successful start-up or broaden your horizons with an internship abroad. You will complete two internships lasting 13 weeks each. This is your chance to immerse yourself in real-world practice!
International internship
A Tio internship lasts at least 13 weeks, but internships abroad may take longer. There is normally a minimum age of 18 years. One thing is certain: the experience is unforgettable! You can also graduate abroad. A great stepping stone to an international career.Large international network

Ask your lecturers if there are exciting internship opportunities within their network, propose your own internship company, and discuss your ideas with your personal study coach.Personal guidance
Your study coach is ready to support you with a listening ear and valuable tips. Additionally, you attend internship classes and can always consult with your lecturers. Once you've started, your study coach visits you in your internship location, even if you're working abroad.Graduation project Start-up & Family Business (30 EC)
You develop a professional product in the field of Start-up & Family Business. In this final phase, everything from your studies comes together in a final assignment. Graduating is a very challenging and educational experience where you get to work on a concrete practical situation within an existing organisation, applying all the knowledge and skills you have acquired during your studies in a real-world context. You ultimately deliver a tangible result that is assessed, after which you receive your bachelor's degree (certificate).Study abroad
Study abroad for six months or a year at one of Tio's partner universities! Tio collaborates with various partner universities worldwide, from Paris to New York and from Barcelona to Dubai or Tokyo. Due to the fact that the academic periods of the partner universities may not align precisely with those of Tio, it's possible that you may miss a few weeks of classes at Tio or experience a delay in your studies of one or more months.Grand international tour
If you are enrolled in the four-year bachelor programme, you can opt for the Grand international tour. You then exchange your second-year internship for an extra semester of studying abroad and study for a year at two different Tio partner universities.

The expectations for the future are significant, as Tio continues to explore exchange opportunities. Partner university selection
Tio has selected its partner universities based on several criteria.
- The curriculum aligns with Tio's programmes.
- The offered subjects are appealing, and the language of instruction must be one of Tio's modern foreign languages.
- The semesters run concurrently, with a focus on practical and accredited education.
- Additionally, the city or surroundings are crucial, as well as the support the school can provide to students.
